DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLORS RESTATE COMMITMENT TO SERVE
The Deputy Vice Chancellors of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Prof. O. J. Saliu (DVC Admin.) and Prof. Daniel Atidoga (DVC Acad) have restated their continued commitment to serving the University towards further growth and development.
This was made known on Wednesday, 26 April 2023, at the 133rd regular meeting of PAAU’s Senate when the officers commented on their reappointment for a second and final tenure of two years.
Responding to the reappointment, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Admin, Professor O. J. Saliu lauded the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, for carrying them along as a team in the course of their first tenure, and for the many lessons they had learnt while working with the Vice Chancellor including her administrative competency.
He thanked the members of the Senate for the re-appointment which he considered as an opportunity to serve again.
Hoping for continuous development as typical of the Professor Tenuche-led administration, Prof. O. J. Saliu charged the members of the Senate to continue to cooperate with the VC and the principal officers as they work assiduously to move the University from strength to strength.
Similarly, the DVC Academics, Prof. Daniel Atidoga thanked the Vice Chancellor and the members of the Senate. He described the re-appointment as a reposition of confidence and trust and restated the commitment of the DVCs to serving the University wholeheartedly.
The DVCs were earlier reappointed following due process and following the University’s law guiding the appointment of the principal officers.
