
5 PAAU GRADUATES BAG FIRST CLASS FROM THE NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL
Meet the Five (5) graduates of the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, who bagged First-Class from the Nigerian Law School; Sarah Avosuahi Seidu, Samuel Emakoji Adaji, Rukayat Mohammad, Abisola Ruth Oluwadare, and Monica Morenike Umeche.





Speaking with the University Media Team, the graduates who all appreciated God for their success recounted how God’s grace, personal commitment to their studies, and a solid background from their alma mater, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, contributed to their excellent feat at the Law School.

Sarah Seidu noted that there was a lot to draw on from the supportive lecturers at the Law Faculty of Prince Abubakar Audu University, adding that the Motto of the University; “Knowledge for Self Reliance” is a guiding principle to anyone who aims for success in academics and in life generally.
Monica Umeche stated that the academic standard in Prince Abubakar Audu University was enough to make a student sit up. She added that studying at the Law Faculty of Prince Abubakar Audu University was helpful in building confidence, character, and developing good reading habits, which were all germane to bagging a First Class at the Law School. She appreciated the lecturers at the Law Faculty for their guidance, mentorship, and encouragement.
While thanking God for his academic performance, Samuel Adaji stated that studying at the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, instilled in him self discipline and personal commitment to studying. He recognized the impact of the lecturers at the Faculty whose teachings provided a preparation ground for the standards of the Law School. In the words of Abisola Oluwadare, the standard and approach to exams at the Law Faculty of Prince Abubakar Audu University keeps one on track to achieve excellence at the Law School”.
Reiterating the foundational role of Prince Abubakar Audu University in her journey, Rukayat Mohammed appreciated the conducive environment and facilities available at the Law Faculty. She recounted the thought provoking teaching styles of the lecturers, an environment that promotes the development of good study habits, and the library facility which she maximized during her studies. In her words, “excelling at law school requires a proper foundation which Prince Abubakar Audu University provided”.
In addition to the role of the University, the First Class graduates emphasized the need for a personal commitment to studies, undeterred focus and determination as sine qua non to succeeding at the Law School.
Addressing current undergraduate students, the Champions were unanimous in their opinion that whatever every student sets his mind to; including bagging a First Class is achievable if such students set their goals, maximize the human resources and facilities at their disposal, and meticulously work towards achieving the goals.
The graduates were called to Bar as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on Thursday, 7th March, 2024.
