30 LECTURERS BENEFIT FROM PAAU’S FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO DOCTORAL STUDENTS
The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, has granted financial support of ₦500,000 to 30 academic staff members across faculties of the institution for their Doctoral Research in different Nigerian Universities.
Speaking at a briefing of the PAAU Media Team, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, noted that the institution’s financial support is to aid the beneficiaries who did not benefit from TETfund’s financial grant to conduct quality research and complete their studies in record time.
In a chat with the PAAU Media Team, a beneficiary of the funding, Mr Animoku Abdulrazaq Amoto of PAAU’s Anatomy Department, noted that the fund aided him in, among other things, purchasing the reagents needed for his research. He thanked the University Management for the support and acknowledged it as the first of its kind and a positive beginning.
In a letter of appreciation, another beneficiary of the financial support, Mr. Taiwo Abayomi from the Physiology Department thanked the University Management for the generous support. Mr. Abayomi added that the financial support has played a crucial role in the payment of his tuition and further motivated him to do his best while rendering services to the University.
The 30 beneficiaries of the financial support cut across lecturers from PAAU’s Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Economics, Sociology, Geography, Property Law, Com. & Ind. Law, and Islamic Law. Other Departments are Soil and Environment, Crop Production, Fisheries, Arabic and Islamic Studies, English and Literary Studies, History and International Studies, and Philosophy. There are also beneficiaries from the Departments of Social Studies, Human Kinetics, Business Administration, Earth Science, Computer Science and Biochemistry.
