PAAU COMMENCES PERIMETER FENCING PROJECT
The Management of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, has commenced the perimeter fencing of the University. With the commencement of the perimeter fencing, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche actualizes one of the old-time desire and dream of the entire University community for an all-round fencing to secure life and property on the Campus.
The University’s Director of Physical Planning (DPP), Arch. Kayode A. Oloninisi, PhD, noted that this giant step is in furtherance of improved security on campus. He added that the perimeter fencing which has commenced from the Egume road axis along the Anyigba/Ankpa highway, will forestall intrusions to the College of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Agriculture, and the University campus from that axis and ward-off unwarranted incursion into University’s land and property
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, and members of the University Governing Council visited the site of this project in a tour on March 30, 2023. The VC, who noted during the tour that the institution was hopeful of the intervention of TETFund to support the perimeter fencing project, has kept to her words that while expecting any funding and support, the University Management would continue to channel efforts towards avoiding any form of incursion into the University Campus. The DPP noted that the 2 km perimeter fencing is, therefore, funded through the University’s Internally Generated Revenue.
