EJEH DEKINA, AND THE CARETAKER CHAIRMAN OF DEKINA LGA APPLAUD DEVELOPMENTAL EFFORT OF THE TENUCHE-LED ADMINISTRATION

The Eje of Dekina, His Royal Highness Alhaji Usman Obaje, has commended the Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar University Anyigba, Professor Marietu O. Tenuche, and the entire Management Committee for the excellency of administration and development in the citadel of learning. Receiving the Vice Chancellor and Her entourage on a courtesy call, the Ejeh expressed confidence in the competence of the Vice Chancellor and her team. In the words of the Ejeh, ‘The Vice Chancellor is a very capable leader.’
In her introductory remarks, the Vice Chancellor expressed her gratitude to the Ejeh, other traditional rulers and leaders in his domain for their continued support in ensuring peace and security on the University Campus. ‘Such peace,’ the VC emphasized, ‘is a necessary condition for the functioning of the University.’ Specially, the Vice Chancellor thanked His Excellency Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of the State for the support he gave to the University. While commending the Governor for his unreserved support to the University, the VC prayed to Almighty God that ‘his successor would also listen to us and treat us as the special institution that we are.’
The VC complimented the Ejeh for the successful completion of the tenure of the last Chairman of the Local Government and the appointment of another of the Ejeh’s sons as the Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government Area. The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University, congratulated the new Caretaker Chairman, Hon. John Urah Ikani on his appointment and prayed that his tenure would usher-in greater peace and collaboration.
The newly appointed Caretaker Chairman of Dekina Local Government Area, Hon. John Urah Ikani has promised total support to the University. Speaking during the courtesy call to Dekina, the Caretaker Chairman noted: ‘that the University is our own, it is dear to us all, we will do everything possible within our capacity to provide an enabling environment for the school to operate peacefully.’ Speaking during the courtesy visit, the Caretaker Chairman emphasised that his administration is ready to support the University 100%. The Chairman announced that greater effort is in the offing to better the security architecture of the Local Government Area and by implication, the security of the University environment.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Olushola Jamiu Saliu prayed for greater peace and progress in the Local Government Area and greater collaboration between the School and the Local Government Area.
In the Vice Chancellor’s entourage were the DVC Admin, Professor Olushola Jamiu Saliu, DVC Acad, Professor Daniel Atidoga, the University Registrar, Bar. Yahaya Segun Aliu, the Head University Media Team, Fr. Damian Amana and many others.
